The principal and founder of Dillon Crew is Michael F. Dillon, Jr. Michael is a licensed REALTOR in Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia.
Michael was reared on Isle of Hope, just outside of Savannah, Georgia, where the rivers and the marshes gave him an early appreciation for the outdoors that continues to this day. Michael recalls fondly when he first fell in love with Washington, DC during a summer road trip with his parents around 8th grade.
In late August 1995 Michael’s parents moved him into his freshman dorm at The George Washington University and he has called the DC area home ever since. After college Michael turned an internship with a member of the House of Representatives into a full time job and spent nearly six years working on the “House Side” of Capitol Hill. During his time on Capitol Hill he primarily worked on defense and transportation issues and was instrumental in the establishment of the first friendly US-Vietnam legislative caucus since the Vietnam War.
After buying his first home in the Kingman Park neighborhood of “Capitol Hill East” in 2004 and successfully purchasing vacant lots from the DC Tax Sale in 2005 the real estate bug took full hold of Michael. Shortly thereafter Michael decided to get his real estate license and hoped to “dabble” in real estate on a part time basis. Within six months Michael was a full-time Realtor and in his first full year in 2006 was the top producing Realtor at Long and Foster’s Capitol Hill Office.
After nearly 5 years as a partner on a top producing real estate team at Long and Foster’s Capitol Hill and Chevy Chase/Uptown offices, Michael decided he was ready to form his own real estate team and sought a brokerage that fully embraced the team concept. In April 2010 Michael moved to Keller Williams Capital Properties and created Dillon Crew. After 3 successful years with Keller Williams Capital Properties, Michael moved to Slate Properties in April 2013.
An authority on the local real estate market, Michael has been quoted in The Washington Post, Washington Business Journal, Urban Turf Real Estate Blog and Fox 5 local news and has been featured on HGTV’s Designed to Sell. Michael is a member of the Greater Capitol Area Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
After living in Foggy Bottom, Alexandria, Capitol Hill and Brookland, Michael and his wife Alyce settled down in the Mohican Hills/Glen Echo Heights neighborhood of Bethesda. They are the proud parents of their son Sam and their beagle Camden.
